Like the rest of the planet, I love The Lumineers. A whole lot. Since this song has been added to my music collection, I cannot stop listening. It is a raw reminder that this world is full of creative men and women. People who sing with passion and purpose and strum with defeat and doubt.
And plus, my inner geek is losing his mind over the Hunger Games references. Yeah, I said it.
“Be brave enough to live creatively. The creative is the place where no one else has ever been. You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. You cannot get there by bus, only by hard work, risking and by not quite knowing what you are doing. What you will discover will be wonderful; yourself.”—Alan Alda (via h-o-r-n-g-r-y)
My love a beacon in the night / My words will be your light / To carry you to me
Been obsessed with this beautiful song for awhile now and I still adore it. One of my favorite songs to attempt to try and sing as beautifully as Ingrid & Sara do. I highly recommend watching the adorable music video as well.
